Nesting – Canada Goose Egg Addling Service (Limited Time)

The narrow window to address nesting pairs and their eggs is generally the month of April, and into early May.

Experienced grounds managers and landscapers already know the annual patterns. If you are seeing geese that appear to be searching for nesting sites, or you have active nests causing long-term maintenance or safety issues on your property, there is still a narrow window this season to treat eggs effectively.

On properties with rivers or creeks (such as the Des Plaines River corridor), jurisdiction can sometimes be complex between the golf course, village, park district, or other agencies. Most experienced managers already know which areas fall under their authority and where treatment is permitted.

Our professional egg addling and oiling service includes thorough scouting and assessment (including paddling or accessing difficult areas when needed), flotation testing to determine embryonic stage, humane treatment using approved methods (shaking and/or corn oil application), proper disposal in accordance with the Illinois Dead Animal Disposal Act [225 ILCS 610], and full documentation for your records.

Pricing:

  • $375 for the first nest (includes follow-up removal/disposal shortly after)
  • $200 for each additional nest treated during the same visit
  • $200 per nest for Follow-up on new nests/clutches later in the season
Payment is required on the day of service

This pricing reflects the real effort involved in accessing the nests and contending with potentially hostile parents, which is the majority of the work, while remaining significantly more cost-effective than many high annual contract surcharges in the area.

This service is best suited for golf courses, country clubs, cemeteries, school districts, and other properties with recurring goose issues where management is ready to take action.

Prompt action is important — the effective treatment window closes quickly once incubation advances into 2nd week.
